Spring cleaning

When the sun starts shining and warming, even here in artic north, i allways start thinking about spring cleaning. Things one can see in sun shine :0.
And it is not just the house that needs a face lift, it´s allso my wardrobe. Ok that I deside every spring, but sometimes it got to be done.
Why not have a "trade day" with your girls. I´m sure everybody has something they do not use anymore that maybe can fit to your girlfriends :).

Or you can take "overload" to the charity shop, well every one knows that you can not throw good quality vintage clothes in the carbage bin ..... or? I know I can´t ... hmm.
Good in that is ..... you can then buy some new frocks, shoes and other nice things.
I did just that couple of weeks ago when we were at the Oilers Mc´s flea market here in Helsinki.

It was a great sunday and did many bargains. Now I only hope that snow disappears an the sun starts warming upp more, so that I can use them too :)

Happy Holidays

Well, Christmas is over and soon we are turning a new leaf for 2011. It is going to be great year, lot´s of big desitions to make that can change our life a great deal. but I am confident that everything is going swell ..... and reason for that is, I happend to have agreatest partner in the world to share all this :).
One of the big things on this coming year is that we are celebrating our 30 anniversary. 30 years with this wonderfull man ... and I am looking forward to next 30 :).

Otherwise not much has happend ... I did a minor knee operation and are on sick leave 2 weeks, that means a lot of sewing and other handcraft ..... maybe I even get something in the webshop on January. I try my best.

New Year eve we are spending at home, but a week from that we are going to check out the club that opens here near by.

New Blog

Finally I am coming somewhere with the new blog. Days just go by, but I have been reading my favorites, like always. I have found couple of fab sites and try to fill up my never ending hunger for information from the "past".

Well the summer is long gone and the winter is getting colder every day. I am not really a winter person, but I just have to manage some how. Thank god christmas is coming, it is my favorite thing in this flaming winter. I just love all the decorations. lights and beatiful presents.

I usually start Christmas early, but this year I am a bit late. My plan is lot of home made presents, food that is like jams, cookies and christmas Candy. There could be couple of little things from my sewing table too.

Iki-ihana kesä

Iki-ihana kesä jatkuu. Mikä sen ihanampaa kun lämmin auringon paiste ja juuri kirjoittavalla hetkellä varjoisa parveke ja viileä juoma. Kaikki tuntuu jotenkin keveämmälle näin kesällä ja energiaa riittää loputtomiin. Viikko sitten perjantaina käytiin Helsinki cruisingissa ja silloinkin mahtava sää suosi. Paljon ihmisiä ja jopa tuttuja joita ei ole tullut nähtyä vuosiin, sieltä kuvia alla. ja kyllä oli muutama sellanen vehje että ei paljon muuta voinut kuin huokailla, mutta kyllä meidän haukka on sentään mahtavin vehje :).

Ainut huonopuoli tässä ihanassa kesälämmössä on että en saa kyllä mitään tehtyä ompelukoneen ääressä, kun heti on huono omatunto kun nenänsä sisälle pistää ..... jos nyt ei ole ihan pakko, niinkuin esimerkiksi ruuanlaittoa tai muita pieniä kotiaskareita. Juuri nyt talokin on ihanan hiljainen ja minä ja rakas puolisko nautimme elämästä täysin siemauksin ..... lapset lomalla ja tyttöystävän luona tai töissä (lue nuoret aikuiset ... ei en mitään lapsia enää ole).

No joka tapauksessa nautimme joka sekunnista ..... ja aah niin ihanasta kesästä ja lomasta.

Sitten hiukan kuvia .... esimmäisenä tietenkin ne komeimmat....

Ja taas kerran illan komeimmat!!!!

No kyllä tällä kelpais kesän porskutella ..... niinpä......

Elämän monet käänteet

Kuinkahan montaa kertaa olen luvannut itselleni että tämän blogin päivittäminenkin tapahtuu vähintään 2-3 kertaa kuukaudessa. No se aina unohtuu kun ei muka ole aikaa on muuta tekemistä jne ja jne. Mutta onneksi vielä ehdin seuraamaan saman henkisten "siskojen" blogeja. Se pitää ainakin minut ajan tasalla :).
No mitä olisi tapahtunut näin joulun jälkeen ...... vaikka mitä ja ei mitään. Meille on tullut uusi perheen jäsen ... maailman suloisin Fordi, kuva seuraa lopussa.
Toinen tärkeä asia on meidän rakkaan Minnien pois meno. Minnie toi elämäämme valoa ja iloa, mutta aika ehti Minnien edelle ja niin oli aika luopua rakkaasta.

Ompelukone surraa monta päivää viikossa, paitsi aurinkoisina päivinä. Suunitelmissa on paljon uutta, josta kerron viimeistään syksyllä. Ompelua 40-50-luvun malliin , koruja ja Burlesque höyheniä tiedossa ...... joten kannattaa olla kuulolla.

Mutta nyt Kotkan työmatkalta toivotan telle kaikille hyvää yötä.
